I found my self the other day taking my gun off and placing it on the baby changing station, (which was in the stall with me). I wrapped it in my jacket, and when I was done, I walked to the sink to wash my hands with my jacket and pistol under my arm. Mainly because I'm OCD and didn't want to handle my weapon after wiping my butt.

It felt awkward cause a dude watched me go back into the stall for a second so I could get resituated. I'm pretty sure he didn't know what I was doing but still.

How do you guys do it?

I just set it on top of the TP dispenser if it's the big plastic kind. If it's not, I'll just position it to where it lays on my pants in between my feet, hoping no one can see it beneath the stall door or walls. If they do, frick them. And do you really care about touching your CCW with your hands after wiping? That's just funny. I do understand the OCD to an extent though.

I have a thing about shitting in public bathrooms. It has to be shite my pants time before I do so. Can't say I remember doing it while carrying. I did have my shorts fall at a urinal once because of the weight of the gun. Luckily no one was around to see.

Get your gallbladder removed and you no longer discriminate where you go.

For the OP, what would you do if you didnt have your jacket?

It's probably not the wisest to remove it from the holster and expose the trigger but I do the same thing. With my Kahr CM9, I can take the whole holster off with the gun in it since it's just a single-clip holster. But with my M&P9c, I usually just take the gun out. I'd rather it be easy for me to grab and avoid inadvertently hitting the trigger than leaving it in my pants and risking it getting caught in all the fabric. But that's just me.

Not a clue. I haven't been in that situation yet. The only holster I have is a fobus paddle holster for my Glock 19.

What do you do in this situation?

carefully

I carry with simple Uncle Mike's holster, so I just take that out and set it on the TP holder or in my pants if necessary

I figure it out based on the configuration of the stall and my ability to problem solve.

I pocket carry so it doesnt matter. But if I did IWB I would just do what other posters said. Your issue isnt the gun, its either you fingerpaint dookie like a 2 yr old or you just need to not worry about reholstering before you wash your hands

If there is a coat hook just hang it by the trigger guard.

Here's an article that may help LINK

I have a good belt so I just flop it down. It never falls out. And it stays connected to my belt.

Getting a CCP is like having a side piece, way to much shite to worry about.

it just seems like if you open carry(paddle holster) or conceal carry(IWB holster) the gun will be visible when your pants are around your ankles. that doesn't seem safe to me because it could cause someone to snatch it from under the wall.

and the "last stall" at the end of the restroom is usually the handicap stall. i'm not handicap so i'd feel bad if someone who was had to wait for me to get done with my business.

Goooood night.

It must be hard being you!

Man, to have to Worry about EVERY damn thing.

Why not just take a dump after you drink your coffee, before you leave the house every day?

Exactly. If you can't problem solve how to go about using a bathroom while carrying, should you really be carrying?

I unholster and slide my pistol in my front right pocket. It is a compact 1911 .45 and then I spread my legs to hold up the pants with the extra weight. Works for me.

Agree. I think it'd be pretty hard for someone outside your stall to see your gun folded over inside your pants, but if you're worried about that, just cover up the gun w/ a couple pieces of tp. I don't lay mine on the tp dispenser as I'm worried I might forget it and leave it there.
