Most of the Glock hate is directed towards Glock fanboys who say "Glock or GTFO" and have no respect for other platforms. There are tons of respectable Glock owners that take heat for this bad apples (pun? ).

This. Too many guys out there that grew up playing video games that own Glocks for that reason. Fact is that the Glock is a proven and revolutionary platform. It transformed the firearm world and deserves it's spot in history. It's not easy to break into the firearm market with such a radically different design, and the fact that Glock not only did it, but have inspired nearly every other manufacturer to follow their lead speaks for itself.

Now, I don't like them. I don't like them for the same reason I don't like an AR. They have no sole. They just don't speak to me. It's personal. But then again, if your firearm is "personal" you're not going to shoot it well. Your not going carry it enough to really feel it. You'll never be comfortable with it. Glock is like a "good" pair of boots that just never fit right. My 1911 is like my old raggedy hat that my wife just can't figure out why I still wear. "Just fits, baby."

Here's another explanation. How often do you hear a guy say, "now that's a beautiful Glock"?

it's a gun not a woman! I look at glocks like a look at a hammer... It's a tool that serves the purpose I need it for. If I want a good looking gun ill take a 1911, revolver, or hi power all day long

I think the 1911 is the lightsaber of pistols. Elegant, Classic...but a lightsaber never blew up the Death Star.

Neither did a Glock. So are you saying it's proton torpedoes or nothing?

And one mother fricker with a light saber took out a shite load of aliens and one bad arse bounty hunter. I'll bet Bobba Fett carried a glock.

I can give you 10 reasons why a gun is better than a woman.

I really don't understand any of the brand hate back and forth. We are all on the same team

I hate AK's. I feel that they are a gun for conscripts instead of professional rifle men but some guys here love them. I dislike polymer mags other posters here swear by them. To each his own.

I was at a local range a couple weeks ago and an older gentleman was shooting a glock and stove piping brass every two rounds. Im pretty sure it was him and not the pistol. But I will say this. My next pistol purchase will be an FN45, then a 1911 then a glock. OB finalized my order. Lol

1911's have been used in every major conflict since their inception. Glock fanboi's can argue reliability all you want service record speaks for itself.

Hopefully Never.

Too much consonantal alliteration to another word.

That's an argument I use a lot.
