I heard choupique is good is you bread and fry fresh. Always heard never freeze. I wouldn't mind trying it or gar. Hell I'll keep a croaker if it's big so I can't judge. Never in any way would I eat a possum

Would whack em on the head wt a seat pedestal and put em in a crab trap. They were excellent for that.

Not yet. But one of the guys on a bowfishing trip last week is a chef. He said he basically pan fries the far and then pickles it somehow.
He claims its unbelievable good.

Freeze? You damn near have to clean them alive and fry within 2 minutes. Flesh turns to mush faster than anything else I've ever seen.

Just another rodent. Just like rabbit and squirrel. At least they only eat vegetable matter. Not carrion like possums.

To answer OP's question:

No.
Yes, and love some gar balls
Hell no.

Had some Hondurans that worked for me years back, and they loved armadillo.
Did they enjoy the leprosy and aids?

armadillo....
I had an uncle that swore young ones were as good of meat as anything. I tasted it once. The mental part of it took over and I could not continue. Reminded me of medium color pork.

I rather choupique than gar. Never tried opposum but I did eat Bob cat and its surprisingly good.

Choupique is really good fried, red gravy or boullets. You can freeze choupique if you fillet it then cut it up in nuggets and bread it like you gonna fry it. Have some wax paper on a tray ready to go. Put your breaded pieces on the wax paper and stick the tray in the freezer. Once they frozen put them in a zip look and back in the freezer. When you want to fry them drop them in grease like chicken nuggets. Taste no different than the day you caught it. It's one of my favorite eating fish.

Same here. I was up on a deck in our yard once at work and some scaffold builders were making some commotion near the handrail hollering and giving hand signals. I looked over to see what was going on and they were signaling 2 other scaffold builders where an armadillo was. They finally caught up to it and whacked it over the head with a claw hammer, bought it home and ate it.
