That should be somewhere in the Mississippi Canyon blocks i believe. I had a 8 lb snapper bitten clean in half this weekend wonder if it was Betsy ....

The article says

quote:

The transmitter sends a ping to an overhead satellite whenever the fish's dorsal fin breaches the surface.

Shark Tracker

If the data is accurate, it's pretty crazy to think the shark went from way out in the Atlantic (Dec 12, 2013) all the way to the middle of the gulf (Apr 18, 2014) without her dorsal fin breaching the surface.

Also pretty scary how close she was to the beaches of Delaware on Nov 21, 2014

Walk every square mile of your parish as free as you want to.

After that, there's another parish.... And another etc.

Lemme know when you get tired.

I understand sharks are fish and not mammals. Just thought it was interesting how long of a time and distance they go without coming up close to the surface.

Then there is instances in the gulf where the shark surfaces several times in one day.

Thats where I took those pics. Of the three best places to dive with them, Australia has the best visibility, but Africa has the most sightings. I went 4 times before I saw one (saw 5 that trip).

There is no feeling like being in the water with a white pointer. I was scared shitless on my first dive. After days of diving with them, you get to know their mannerisms and relax a little.

No. It's pretty high up that list. I plan on going to Australia in the next couple years and I will try my best to get in a shark cagw.
