Grand Isle surf fishing

all white trout and catfish? anyone do well with decent specks and/or reds?

we weren't in grand isle, but leeville, saturday and sunday fishing live shrimp and pogeys and only caught one white trout and 100 catfish.... IT SUCKED!!! Hope you have better luck.

Can't speak for Grand Isle in particular, but further west, croakers on a carolina rig is your ticket this time of year.

In May I was getting limits of specks. Here recently it's been hit or miss. Bluefish have been a pain in the arse the last few weeks. Last weekend I was getting 10-12 specks in the morning both Saturday and Sunday. Didn't go down this weekend because the wind and solunar looked bad.

Fishing Leeville last weekend got 2 man limit of reds each day and 5 trout each day. Oh and 50 catfish.

I'll be down as well fishing fourchon though. Forecast looks great, so if trout bite sucks mangroves it is!

I found nicer mangroves this weekend as compared to last.
