Every pond I normally fish, or every river I go to is swarming with them gators. I'd be to scared to go in a yak.

Hell this past weekend in the tank pond a damn 10ft came up to my boat an decided he wanted to tail it.

ended up heading to Mosquito Creek Outdoors in Apopka, FL this weekend (I live in Orlando). Went up for a salt water fly fishing clinic, ended up talking to the salesman after buying from flies & assorted items & they made me a GREAT Mother's Day deal on a Jackson Coosa kayak. I bought it, new Bending Branches paddle, & the roof rack mounts & drove off with her Saturday evening. Took her out yesterday for the maiden voyage on Lake Virginia by Rollins College where I volunteer coach. Hopefully I'll be heading over to Tampa/Clearwater to get out on the gulf side & do some serious salt water fly fishing!

Nice ride bro!

Either gonna buy a kayak or gonna get my tagged redfish mount. Don't really have money for both so it's a tough decision.

Went with B&B and Diesel and got the Ascend at BPS. Talked myself out of getting a more expensive one for my first yak.

My first catch on my maiden voyage at LSU Lakes.

To the OP, why didn't you get a stand up paddleboard instead?

My first fish out of my kayak was about the same size.

HA! I was so excited to hook my first fish on the yak, I thought he was a monster! Had a great time. Looking forward to bringing it to Destin.

Bring it on. I have let the pond rest for the past week and a half. Can't wait to go fishing sometime this week.

I've spent too much time on the OB. I can tell by the urge I have to go buy a kayak

Yup. I already told my oldest stepson I was jacking his yak for my next fishing trip. He laughed at me. It fits just perfectly in the old Cajun!

No one notices what your boat looks like if you're catching fish!

I parked my truck earlier behind someone with an ascend (not sure if 10' or 12') strapped in the bed.

Which kayaks are best for fishing? Sit in or sit on tops? I am looking at the same model as the OP but cant decide between the two.
