Shot this big boy on our family farm in Liberty, MS the morning after Christmas. 20" inside spread, 190lbs. First time with trying the sneak and think it came out pretty damn good

Thanks - he does look wide as hell. I think the sneak plays tricks on the eye. The other deer on the left was shot on the same property 13 years ago and is 17.5 inside and was 210 lbs. (just for comparison sake).

I've never scored either. Any guesses? I'm thinking new one is about 125-130 and the older one is about 120.

Had him on camera twice in 2013 but not a single time during the 2014 season. I just assumed he got shot...but when that rut is on they just start acting stupid!

Funny thing is, I damn near didn't get out of bed that morning. Got a late start to the stand and it was already light out when I was within a few hundred yards of my ladder stand. Low and behold there were three does directly under the stand and they spooked as I was walking up. Of course I thought the hunt was fricked. I was trying to decide whether I should just sit on the ground where I was or keep walking. Ended up walking to the stand and he walked out not 10 minutes later...I couldn't believe it. Took the shot and he ran about 20 yards. Biggest buck I've ever killed and the first one in 4-5 years

Still get jacked just thinking about it!

Nice story ......if I've learned one thing from hunting whitetail is that if you think you've spooked em.....you haven't, they are deer and they are stupid. Sit tight, check tigerdroppings, and they will come back.

Now, on those days I'm feeling lazy and wanna sleep in, I'm gonna think of this story and drag my sorry butt outta the rack.

Always drag yourself out. The one day this gear that I woke started getting ready and said f it. My monster show up right after daylight, 25 yards from my stand. Still think about what if.
