Lost two of my favorite calls this weekend at the camp. Anyone have any call recommendations? I like to use one for loud hail calls and another for soft cutting and quacking while they circle. Anyone have those go to duck calls you would buy again? Thanks and

Depends on the marsh.... Reggio, you use teal and a grey duck call (duck commander). You sound like a dumbass trying to call in greys with a mallard call.

I crushed my DR 85 and went to Haydel's Carbon Quacker, that and a pintail whistle is all you really need.

My Yentzen. Great for the marsh. Thinking about picking up a Gray duck call this year since we are loaded down with them.

I can't tell you how many ducks that I've called in with a mallard drake call and pintail whistle, although I've never called in a pintail with a pintail whistle, they do love a rolling feed call.

Not sure where you are hunting, but you cannot do it where we are at for the greys.... they don't want any part of it. I grew up hunting in rice fields and the lacassine reserve.... and you had to know how to blow a mallard hen to get the ducks in, but for some reason it doesn't work there. Guys that hunt next to us used to blow a hen call all of the time never killed..... told them to blow the grey duck call and they do well. That being said, there are basically no mallards killed on or around our lease.

Not sure what cutting is I guess you're talking about a feed call

Short barrel maybe even in wood, daisy slayer, old style
