I wish I had Bill Gates' money. I'd probably go buy that place. (or somewhere similar)

Nah, that place is the best managed deer hunting property in the South. And has been for decades. Plus they have perfect habitat and an endless supply of money to dump into the place. If you shell out the money and like to hunt with a guide sitting beside you telling you what to shoot, you can go kill one too.

Vidalia, along the MS River, but they have another river that connects to the MS as another one of their borders. It's like a high-fence club with a couple rivers making up two borders. Extremely fertile land and strict management.

Didn't mean it as an insult. Simply that they have two large natural boundaries that deer most likely won't cross. They can swim, and I have seen them swim, in the MS River, but it is not common. It's easy for the Gilles Island crew to manage them and keep neighbors and poachers from blasting immature deer.

Yep, They worry about losing deer all the time when the waters get too high. Obviously they didn't all take off from this past years flood. The only thing they lost was the insides of the buildings.

I remember seeing pictures of their flooded lodges. It was terrible.
