Dixie had 11 puppies.
That was her first litter.

I forget the name of the kennel that I got mine from but it was in Pensacola. I love my dog but I won't go back there. She has hip problems from birth that we didn't discover until she was about 1.

ETA: and she is smaller than most other GSPs that I have seen. about 40 lbs

Are there GSP's that are calmer and steadier than others? Sort of like how imported English Labs are compared to domestic bred labs.

Does he like to catch frogs and show them off and does he vocalize a lot?

My female loves catching frogs/toads and just holds them in her mouth (A trait their father was known to do). My female is also very vocal when she gets excited. If she sees me or the wife putting on running shoes she goes nuts wanting to go run or if we pull up to a place she is fond of (dog park or land) she starts "talking".

My female is calm I would say. I have driven cross country with her in the car and all she does is sleep. As I always say about GSPs in general is that active =\= hyper. They are a breed that needs to burn energy daily. Hyper to me is little yappy dogs that don't shut the hell up or listen to anything.

a lot of the dogs in roscoes line talk... make all kinds of vocalizations when they excited.

froggers... many of them catch frog/toads and stack them on back porch..

Zeiger isn't really vocal until he is ready to be let out. Dixie, on the other hand, is very vocal.
She is due in about 20 days.

Great looking pups - we had one a few a years ago that passed away from old age, and were just talking the other night about maybe getting another when I saw this post and all the pics.
