I don't know. I didn't have the heart to ask him when he called.

We're going out tomorrow to recover his rig if some coonass isn't running crawfish traps with it already. I'll be sure to post pics.

He works out all the time and is in great shape (unlike myself) but there are a few sandbars that you can stop and stand on and rest.

I'm sure he did this whole thing fully clothed which would make it harder I assume.

Hopefully this will be one of those things we can sit around and laugh about one of these days.

This sounds like something that would happen to me. I'm guess I'm not the only one with terrible luck.

Good luck on the retrieve

I'd have walked about 2 miles north, then swam across the narrow part. But that wouldn't have made for as cool of a story.

Hopefully he can find it and its not submerged.

Is he bringing a pump or something to help get the water out.

Seems to happen more with short transom boats!

I have had two different boats with Gatortails. One custom built and one Gatortail boat. Never had a problem.

Some people are just stupid too!

Maybe they need some sponsons on the rear for added floatation. But hell, almost none of them have floatation in them.

Correct! But Gatortail will custom build for you. I know guys who have rear boxes that have floatation in them.
