Ok so a local resident loses his drone flying it over a city (LINK ). I am not a conspiracy theorist etc but if you are flying a drone w a gopro over my house I might break out a few of these (www.luckygunner.com/12ga-3-uranium-drone-load-tacnition-5-rounds). Must admit if I came across said drone in a neighbourhood I might return it to the owner but it would not be in usuable condition. Arent there municipal regs against peeping toms etc – it is just too weird to fly a drone w/ HD camera capabilities over residential areas. If you have 40 acres giddy up - fly the hell out of the thing otherwise GTFO. On the positive side it would be fun to see how far you have to lead one ……. I am thinking the plug would be out and I might get an mag extension just to make sure.

Apparently it doesn't take all that long to figure out the lead.

I want one of those. The drone, not drone rounds.

In the spring of 1988 I shot down a remote control airplane that was buzzing us working dogs in the spillway

One of the Dr's I work with showed me some remote control airplanes some of his freinds have that you strap a live camera on and fly it in first person. Some cool videos on youtube and it looks like fun. Never thought about privacy issues, they do it around the lake and river, etc...

Choupique – well that’s a good start but I think we need a few more details…….and I hear ya if I was hunting/working dogs and a drones/RC plane was buzzing me it would not end well for the aircraft

I’m not a privacy nut but it just seems creepy to fly drones around a neighbourhood

Ontario...

I was training with a few "older gents" and their dogs.. I was 23 and recently out of the Navy...

we were meeting out at said pond at spillway for a few weeks once or twice a week.. the guy who was flying - was not part of the group that had the little air strip out there...

he buzzed us a time or two before.. One of the old men in our group went over and asked him very nicely not to fly right over us like that and he was a prick in his response..

the next time we went - he started as soon as we got there.. then.. he buzzed us about ten feet over head... and all training stopped... one of em.. said... splash it if he does it again..... took the poppers out of the gun and put in steel 4s... bout 5 minutes later he came again.. I hit it with all three shots...

he came over throwing a fit threatening to whip the older guys arses....and somebody owed him 380 some thing dollars for his plane... then I stepped out from where I was, put gun in truck walked up and said....

"I shot your bird down".... I have your money in my wallet.. he appeared happy and said good... then I said..

it's in my back pocket if you can get it out, it's yours.......He said he was gonna go to the cops... I told him go ahead we'll be here till dark.. and back 3 days later at same time.. we never saw him again....

if I saw a drone flying over my house or yard... i would figure out a way to let gravity take it's course....

or follow it to where it came from and take it up with the owner/flyer..

I checked into using a drone for a couple of tasks at work and there are a hell of a lot of rules governing the use of drones...so restrictive that I gave up on the idea...

Hmmm... Have an idea for a non firearm based anti drone device.....

Or two.... One hand held with an inertia warhead, non incendiary.....

One self propelled close range semi incendiary

The company I work for had a promotion this year for a free drone with attached GoPro camera if so many units of seed were purchased. The drones are great for scouting fields, checking irrigation, etc. the rules and regulations are fairly strict on usage and air space barriers.
