One of the better guides on Lake Fork will run $350-$450 for two people for a full day, less for a half day. The problem is going to be finding one on short notice.

Like someone else mentioned, go to texasfishingforum.com. Create an account and post a message in the Bass Fishing forum asking for a last minute guide for Lake Fork. You'll get plenty of recommendations. Guides post on there too, so one might be able to tell you if they've had a cancellation.

At the very least, go on the forum and look for recent Fork posts for tips.

We just wiggle our worms a little better south of I-10.

Oh, ok..

North of I-20, we don't need to have to wiggle our worms..

You could have dropped off those 10 bags of worms and wrapped them in some sort of temperature preserving device, a Koozie if you will, to make sure they didn't spoil in all this heat since were near the equator.

I can trade you my old wads of used fishing line... Got it in a wallyworld bag ready to go.

Those "temperature preserving devices" have gotten more fellers in trouble than apple pie shine. Send me an email & I'll give you a tip on acquiring one of the unmentionable.

Old line, hah! This tip will cost you one of your semi-worn out sittah kuhs....

If I gave up one of my semi worn Citicas I might have to change my name to Abu.

And I didn't even get a phone call

Fork is huge. If you're fidhing back in the cuts an inexperienced bass fisherman would be best suited with a spinnerbait. If yall are fishing points, a Carolina rigged worm would be best. Fork is also an awesome sacaulait and catfish fishery too.

If you're having to fish from the bank, the marina's are your best bet (Lake Fork Marina, Oak Ridge, etc...). The only other places to bank fish are around the bridges. There are a lot of retreads around the marinas.

Hired a guide and went out yesterday morning. Did a half day, landed about 5 and beat gf who got three, all 3-5 lbs and caught on pink worms and crawfish. Guide was cool and gf loved the surprise, so overall it was a good trip.

But now I realize why I havent been bass fishing since I got hooked on saltwater back in college. Just ain't the same.

Thanks for the advice, yall.

A gentleman doesn't tell.

But it did include a badly needed massage.
