After making a pass by the hunting waders at Cabelas, I decided to try on the Dry-Plus breathable and really liked them. I wasn't planning on making the switch from my old neoprenes until next season, but they just felt right so I made an instinct purchase. I'm tired of sweating my butt off chasing birds, so I am willing to take a chance on these.

Anyone have them or tried them out before? I'll be putting them to the test next week in some flooded timber.

Not the Cabelas brand in particular, but I have orvis and macks in breathable waders and there's no comparison v. neoprene to me. More comfortable, easier to walk in, don't sweat your arse off, you can layer comfortably, they dry in about 15 minutes etc etc. I'll never go back to neoprene if I can help it.

The breathable waist waders from Hodgman are the best waders ever made.

Once I went waist I have never gone back

I have the same ones

Light and easy to move around in is a huge plus for me

I had to send them back after 2 years for leaky seams and they replaced them

Nice to know they work. I would have never thought breathable ones would be worth a crap.

That's what I love about this board.
I feel I have learned a ton from reading this place the last 2+ years. It has also made me want to get out into the woods way more than the past.

My wife hates this board.......

Breathable waders are very nice here in the milder winters of the Deep South...get yourself some fleece pants to layer, because you will miss the insulating qualities of the neoprene in very cold weather, though....

I just bought a pair that are neo pants and breathable upper. Best of both worlds

Going on a full season from Teal into 1 month left of Big Duck with the Game Winner ones from Academy. No complaints and if they suddenly sprout a leak, I have my receipt and will go get new ones. If they can make it all the way through, these waders are legit.

Cabelas dry plus is all we wear. Put shorts under them for teal season, wear wader pants when it's colder during regular season. You won't be disappointed

I've heard the praises of Cabelas waders, does Bass Pro have a comparable breathable wader with same lifetime warranty?

In my experience, cabelas is head and shoulders above red head brand.

FYI, CABELAS and Bass Pro waders are made by the same wader company. Not sure of the warenty issue.
