He's a mess. Hasn't cut his or shaved, drinks a lot. The sole survivor of the accident died of an overdose a week later, in the house about 400 yards away from me.

I feel for all family members. My uncle who was an exceptional athlete in Arkansas drowned when he was 15. You just don't recover.

Prayers are with you MSG. Prayer is the only thing that will help one through something like this. Say many.

This board knows this already, but life is so extremely fragile. Hug those loved ones a little tighter when you see them over the holidays.

Damn man, I just saw this. Sorry to hear about your BIL. I was on the river yesterday morning but came back home after lunch when it looked like a hurricane was about to hit.

Everyone I've talked today, said he would just call them out the blue to say he loved them. I've lost quite a few people over the years.. But none have hurt this bad. He always called and said " I love you bird". That's what they called me when I was little because of my bird chest. He was the only one who still called me that. Since he and my sister divorced about 12 years ago .. I don't think he really found his way. The only solid thing in his life were his immediate family and my niece, his daughter. I remember when I was young and I wanted a coolio cd and my mom wouldn't buy it for me. He bought it for me and slid it to me on the down low. Lol. It's those little things I remember. I remember fishing a pond with him and he hooked a big arse water moccasin with a buzz bait.. I wasn't looking and he reeled it up next to me, threw down the rod, and ran off laughing. He was a big ol teddy bear who loved everyone. I miss him so bad. I'm trying to not let it ruin my kids Christmas , but it's going to be tough. I still have a big arse playground from Santa I need to put together that I don't feel like touching. Hopefully some sleep tonight will heal some pain. Thanks again everybody for the prayers.

Wow MSG, terrible news. Try to keep your spirits up for the rest of your family. Will keep you and yours in my prayers. It's never a good time for this, but this time seems particularly bad and plenty people seem to run into trouble ou tin the elements (hunting and fishing).

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE ALL. Stuff happens.
