Guy at work said he's broke 3 Falcon's... I asked what pound braid and he said Fluorocarbon

I have a Falcon Buco, St. Croix Mojo Bass, and 3 AG Vendettas... No Clue on the next one, but I really like my Abu's

I broke a falcon but it was because I stepped on it. No problems otherwise.

Damn. I have three Duckett rods-two micro magics and a ghost- and I've never had a problem with any of them. They're my favorite rods I've ever had.

I have been pleased with these much more so than the Duckett. The Winn grip is surprisingly good (I have always been a cork fan.) My son uses the Duckett now. He likes it. Never had problems with either though. Just a matter of preference.

For a low line rod with foam handle, the EG Vendetta is the way to go. A little bit pricier is the Duckett with the cork handle. I would use a AG Vendetta over the cheap Duckett TBH.

For some reason, I can't stand a foam handle. The Duckett I have has cork. Again, a matter of preference.

I had a duckett and liked it OK. Bought a 13 fishing envy and it's a badass rod.
That being said, the rod I'll be buying in the next couple weeks is a Megabass orochi XX

me as well and the rod is much better than the Ghost. It's their top of the line rods that have the cork handles.

While we are talking rods, Dobyns just came out with a rod to compete in the $100 market. It is the Dobyns Fury series. I have no experience with them, but I know Dobyns is popular with the tournament bass fishermen around here.

Did you send it back into 13 Fishing for replacement?

Turned out to be a nice Loomis, but at 615$ I politely deferred.

Yeah, but .................

Loomis is really proud of their rods, so you should pay an exorbitant price for one.

Not.

Well I took the Duckett back to Academy and left with another Ghost but in the 7 ft version instead of the 7'3" like I had.
Went down the road and popped into Cabelas.

Mistake. LOL

After checking the upper end Ducketts and many others I decided to pop for a G Loomis E6X, their entry level rod. Normally $190, but on sale for $159. Got to the checkout and it rang up $139. Then I remembered I had a Cabelas coupon I had (from the local coupon books you can pick up for $20/book) so out the door with the Loomis for $130 !
Bazinga!!!
Will be returning the Duckett replacement for a refund so I guess that bass did me a favor in the long run with a $30 upgrade to a Loomis.
Ain't life funny sometimes. LOL

Probably had been hit in that area at some point in manufacturing or perhaps in the back of your truck. Had a tool box fall over on some of mine many years ago, all 3 ended up breaking in the area the box fell on them.

Exchange it for a falcon bucoo. You'll be very happy...

Eta-missed that you already got a Loomis. That should work lol.
