I second Sonny Amato he has done two of my bucks. I have seen his duck work and it is great imo.

Jack pierno of beauty of nature waterfowl taxidermy in pearl river just north of Slidell does great work! He did my last two ducks and I was impressed, he charges 160$ a duck and has about 2-3 month turnaround time

Steve German in sulphur was 2nd runner up for the show that eventually was mounted in Alaska. The dude is no joke. I have a sprig from the 90s and my brother has a green head from a couple years back. Both are superb.
