I feel like you have to have been born into a Fraternity in order to find a good one with openings... The only ones I have found I know wouldn't be worth a damn. (Hence their advertised openings).

I got a damn fine lead on a few hundred acres of hardwoods around Utica earlier this week. Damn fine lead.

I would probably pay upwards to $3k just for me to be in a good lease.

Apparently $3k a person is considered poor mans money

$3k (per person) for a two or 3 person blind isn't that difficult to find. $6-9k I think should be workable in SWLA.

Yeah I hear ya... I just want a place to put my camper and stay while hunting. I hunt mostly
During the week and driving back and forth a 3 hr trip is not feasible for me or my family.

I got a quote from arguably the best prairie duck hunting club here in TX - $4,500 for new members.

Access to many different bodies of water, lodge, and saltwater fishing accessible with ATV.

It's 100-110 miles from my house. They allow Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday hunting only.

I think I'm just gonna do guided hunts, shite, at $225 a pop I'll be hunting scouted water and don't need 4 wheeler or boat.

Also, thread topic is nothing new. Duck hunting is rich man's game. Thank Jeebus my family farms.

You honestly would probably be better off going on guided hunts with your money instead of burning it on a lease. Public land is better than most leases anyway. I will never pay for a duck lease again.

Honestly, I have all but given up on duck hunting...it my favorite type of hunting to do, but I just can't spend enough time in the blind to make it worth the mega-bucks that it takes to do it nowdays...

take a few guided hunts per year to knock the edge off and go on with your life....

been thinking about letting my place go - Louisiana's grand days of mallard limits from pit blinds is over...and getting worse each year.

I know guys that do a hunt in Kansas and one further up north...then maybe a local hunt or two....then call it a year.
