If the ducks aren't where you are, go find the ducks. It doesn't matter how much junk you put out, if they don't want to be there you're not going to do any good.

Are you seeing a lot of ducks?
If you can't add more decoys, I would try totally changing up your spread. Maybe put a big majority on one side. Let me know if you find the magic. shite like this drives me crazy when people all around are shooting, but we're not.

There is no feed, so what strategy should i be using?
if ducks are using it as a rest.. .go in around 9:30 hunt till 2.
spread dekes out A LOT... like big loose groups of 3-4 dekes per group with an open area around blind.

If you are on a budget get as many 2 liter, bleach, any other plastic jug and paint flat black. Find rail road spikes, old spark plugs you name it for anchors. Spread about in your spread and it will bulk it up for no money.
May also want to look at how the spread is laid out may need some holes in different places. I would try that for now and see what happens.

We are seeing a ton of ducks, just as much as last year, just they arent coming to the blind this year. Guess i will change up the decoys and see if that helps any. We em set up with a big group front left and front right with the middle open. Same in the back. Like i said, we do decent when the other blind doesnt hunt. But when they hunt, we dont get shite.

Yall just shoot when the ducks get about 100 yds from the other blind. Problem solved. (j/K)

Go buy about 20 bags of corn and spread it in front of your blind this weekend. The ducks will be there when the next split opens.

This x1000.
I've been on both sides of the fence. It sucks to be in your position but it doesn't matter how many or what type of decoys you put out. For some reason the ducks like that other field and that's where they'll go regardless of what you do. I know that ain't what you want to here but I learned that the hard way many years ago.

Technically, its not illegal during the split because you aren't hunting over it. It may draw added attention from the fly overs but it's not illegal. As long as the feed is gone by 12/17 you're good.

Is a game warden. Don't listen to him he's trying to get you arrested.

Lulz... you're just mad I haven't taken you hunting yet this season.

Definitely try upping decoy numbers. Use black bottles to fill.
But a lot of times the ducks will just go where they want and you're screwed.

I wish i was an OT baller so i could have multiple blinds so i could "go and find" the ducks without having to frick with public land.

You can't make ducks go where they don't want to go. A garhole will always be a garhole.
Why do you think that lease came available?
You can have 500 mojos and flock a flickers but it won't help. Garhole a are garholes

As I recall, Federal law says all bait must be gone 14 days prior to hunt. Warden checks and picks up samples and you hunt opener, you busted. Do no do now. Too late.

actually the feed needs to be gone 10 days prior to hunting it, in which innocence is actually much harder to prove than guilt.
