Does anyone else on the OB feel Campbell's ad shooting a shotgun is patronizing?

Who cares if he shoots a shotgun or not?? He is aligned with the leftist.

What is that gun he is shooting BTW?

I understand his reasoning, he wants to get rid of the notion at all dems are coming for your guns.

It is extremely corny and forced though. I would assume he actually does hunt though, but that may be incorrect.

In some field barely off the road with utilities in the background. Very forced.

Both of the candidates have some of the cheesiest ads I've seen this year. Catering to the uninformed, imo.

I think you're confusing "patronizing" with "pandering"

Also, the scene where he's talking to people eating crawfish is pretty funny

As creepy as he is, he's actually less creepy than Kennedy. We're fricked.

Ads like this started popping up after Mike Foster ran for governor. The ad was clear pandering to " the working class" and showed a welder....the welder stopped, looked at camera and flipped up his helmet to reveal it was Foster.

One of the first ads of this type and it WAS effective. Ever since then there is always a pandering add each election cycle. They are not really effective anymore.

i don't like politicians as a rule of thumb. All they do is patronize every so often to get a vote so they can go back to making lobby money.

Except for fuhrer elect Trump, he is great. I have high hopes for that cat.

Its not a great feeling when both candidates feel that the general populace is devoid of intelligence to put those two hokie arse commercials out there.

Their goal is to look genuine but both commercials paint the picture that it couldn't be further from the truth.

My favorite all time was the commercial from the guy running for Alabama Rep. and he was shooting a lever action rifle by a farm fence saying he was getting rid of every Mexican in Bama. He at least came off as sounding like he meant business.

only patronizing when Dems do it. clearly, all Dems are gun grabbing tree huggers, who would never hunt or fish.

Nothing more hilarious than seeing Jindal with a brace of ducks or in camo. but that wasn't patronizing.

Real question is how Campbell shoots with one eye. Gotta affect that depth perception.
