My uncle does. He drives from Hammond to Reserve everyday and he'll occasionally stop and fish the low road on I55

I keep a 7wt fly rod in the truck with a box of flies. It's a 4 piece, so packs easily.

my wife's uncle does the same. he keeps a large plastic box in the back of his 4 runner. He will stop on the way home from work some days to fish.

I've traveled that road for the last 10 years and I bet I've only seen 3-4 people actually catching a fish.
Must be catching them though. Every spot has a cane pole in it.

How do all of those people get off work everyday?

Louisiana has a-hole property owners. I carried a pole and small tackle box in Alabama. In Alabama, there are tons of great freshwater bank fishing and you wont get run off from most. I worked a professional job downtown Birmingham and I could fish on my lunch break or on the way home.

Always wanted one for my golf bag, but did not want to risk being banned from the course(s).

I usually have 2-3 regular rods in my front seat. If a lady has to ride along, then they go in the tailgate. Never know where you will be when someone invites you. Most of my trips aren't planned

He told Malcolm Gladwell "It's not for using. It's for giving."

"Just 14.99!"
