We use them for steel assembly and drilling. Seems to be rough on whatever tools we use. I don't discount user error though. I have seem them drilling into 10ga galvanized till the gun starts smoking.

$55 for a 7 amp skil FWIW, and you could have come out ahead, $200 for the Combo kit with the 1/4 driver and a compact drill driver. You'll need an electric 1/2 drill in your stable of tools, trust me.

DeWalt also offers all their cordless tools
as a bare tool, without batteries and charger,
so you can expand you tool inventory with out buying a full kit each time you want a new tool.
In my market area add on tools average around $130.00 ea.
