I’m fishing blind Saturday in a club tournament out of Des Allemands. I’m thinking about running to cataouatche, but that’s a hell of a run and chance with no scouting. Anybody have a report on how the water looks and whether there’s grass yet. Any info would be appreciated.

Im from the area and have a hard time getting reports from buddies. People keep their mouth shut in those parts. Good luck

No truer words have ever been spoken. I think that's b/c most run to Bouef or Lafitte. At least, that's what i will believe b/c i can never find them there and i fish it almost every week

Oh, I know. If anyone wants to see it in person, just fish a tourney where Rockweiler fishes. Any tourney he's in on DA, just accept you're fishing for 2nd.

I'll catch them sporadically. I'll go one week, catch nothing, the next week catch a 3.5lber and then follow it up with a couple knotheads. I never load the boat though....5-6 bites a trip

They ruined it when they changed the diversion.

So this would be a good day for me to stay out of Lake Bouef if you bassholes are going to be running around right?

If its a club tourney there won't be many boats. Maybe a few scouting for Media Sunday.

I wish more people would do this

Facebook report pages have made a lot of the places I like to fish a headache.

I figured the Island has you too busy to fish anyways

But I'm not headed that direction. I'm sure word got out since the last media tourney and you won't be able to find a duck blind without a boat on it

as far as bass tourney runs... Des allemans to cataouache is hardly a "run"

Maybe not in todays boats. I remember many summers in lake salvador fishing the rigs for reds in a 15 foot stratos. The lake gets rough quick

I am a salary baw now. We are getting pretty damn slow. I will probably head to my lease in Dularge and catch some crabs.
