"was driving through Jefferson County New York when he was randomly pulled over for a vehicle check."

How can he be charged if the law wasn't fully enacted yet?

NY already had a 10 round mag limit before the new ban.

The vet is stating that the mags he bought were pre-ban, but the new law made the pre-ban mags illegal too.

One of these mass murderers needs to do us a favor and go to NYC city hall.

I believe that unfortunately the politically correct term is "shooter" I am pretty sure I have yet to hear any of them called a mass murderer, at least on mainstream media outlets.

Got it.

So you can't even drive through the state with the big mags? It's not just the second amendment they're ignoring.

Frick NY.

Here is the link to the defense fund for SSG Haddad:

I spent 4 years at Fort Drum, just outside of Watertown, NY. It's really sad to see the justice system turned against an honorable citizen.

Whether or not you think the law is stupid or not, the guy was still in violation of the law and should have been arrested. As a judge told me, ignorance isn't an excuse to violate the law.

Sounds like we very well might have the first test case of whether or not the 2nd amendment also pertains to high capacity magazines. This should be a fascinating legal argument.
