First time in area, so this may be normal, but I’ve never seen so many geese in my life.

Ah, geese...I didn't think they were catching speckled trout in Arkansas.

Every year I fall for this at least once. Not being a hunter and only a fisherman I only think one thing when I hear specks!

Funny thing is, I've been speck fishing and never been speck hunting, but for some reason, I knew exactly what you meant.

Probably because there aren't any speckled trout in Arkansas...

And they are so much easier to hunt up there than down here.

Thought this was another “bull sharks can swim to St. Louis” thread.

You're telling me! West of Big Creek was covered up more than I've seen in a while.

One of our fields is about 15 minutes north of Cash. I hope we get on them Saturday!

I've been driving back and forth to Batesville, AR / ATL every weekend and have noticed so many out in the fields. I'm not a duck hunter and have no idea what all has been there but looks loaded around any land that has decent water which is most since they have it for irrigation. I guess if my son continues to go to school out there, I should find a good place to hunt and learn.

It would probably be confusing as frick if the location was SW LA instead of AR.

On a related note, I heard East of Monroe was covered in "Specks" as well as Jones. "Specks" must have had a good hatch this year for there to be so many spread out.

I wish the specks would hang out a little further down the river, like Pointe Coupee parish.
