Didn't see a thread on this so I figured I would make one.

Top section is 6' 2"x1". I found 36" bendable rubber coated twist ties at Lowes and cut into 6" sections for the "holders". I twisted one end of the "holder" around a screw using needlenose pliars and secured it with a washer. Holders are 8" apart.

Bottom is 6' 2"x4" with 1 1\2" holes cut into the board using a wood bit. Holes are 8" apart.

I've seen some nice ones on Google images when I was looking for ideas for the one I just built. Just search for custom rod holders for truck.

I have a nice one my wife bought me. It holds 6 rods. It's in the corner of my garage, right next to about 30 rods piled up in a corner.

Here's the ones I made for the back of my old truck, haven't tried them in the new one so probably will have to alter. on the back side of that 2X6 is some pvc angled at about 60 degrees.

Here is one I made for my garage ceiling.
