re: Any good topics discussing student loan payment? - pakowitz on 4/14/15 at 7:43 am
We just finished paying my fiance's loans off in January. We used the debt snowball and a good amount of overtime to knock them out. Paid back almost 19k in 6 months or so. It can be done but need to be serious about getting out of debt. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: I'm going to be coming into about $10,000 soon - what do I do? - pakowitz on 3/4/15 at 2:10 pm
I would say the same if you weren't having a baby soon. I'd hold off on that until the baby is born to ensure you don't need extra money for anything that may pop up. Once the baby is home and everyone is good, then i would pay of the Student Loan. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Looks like ATT changed its policy. - pakowitz on 2/20/15 at 5:44 pm
You should be able to get it on the 1st of the month. The new policy is to move the upgrade up to the beginning of the month in which you would be upgrade eligible. If you want it sooner than that, you would need to purchase it via NEXT. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

We are currently doing the debt snow ball right now. My Fiance and I have $1500 saved for emergencies. I know you would like to replace it and I agree it should at some point be replaced. If I were in your shoes, I would get several quotes to fix it and ask the professional how long do they...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

How much is the compressor to fix and how much is it to replace? If you're doing Dave's plan, then you should have $1000 emergency fund which may not be enough to replace but should be enough to fix it. If you get it fixed, then stop doing your snowball until you get your $1000 emergency fun...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Fair counter for a job offer - pakowitz on 2/9/15 at 12:39 pm
According to Forbes, the average raise an employee receives for leaving their current company is between a 10% to 20% increase in salary. I've heard in the past around 13%. 13% of your current salary of 72k is $9360 which would make a fair offer be just over 81k. ...

re: Anyone here watch Nightwatch on A&E? - pakowitz on 2/6/15 at 1:36 am
I've watched every episode so far. I like the show. Seems pretty crazy some of the stuff they have going on but I'd imagine its similar to every major city. The 18 wheeler fire was pretty wild for sure. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Go to the Lost Sea Adventure. Its about an hour from Pidgeon Forge but was the best thing on our trip. Its the Largest Underground Lake in the US and they take you out in a small boat in it. Was pretty awesome. http://www.thelostsea.com/...
