Just returned from CC. Stayed with in laws in a house on the north side of padre island on a canal. Went fishing almost every night with brother in laws and father in law. They fish a lot, I don't. Bro in law has a 20 foot flat bottom center console boat, nothing fancy. We took it out at night and would stay in the canals fishing for trout and redfish. Like I said I don't fish a lot so I was stoked to go. Folks there put green lights on the bottom of the water in the canals pointing up. We would go in stealth using just the trolling motor and kill it and cruise near a light. You could see the fish everywhere! We used live shrimp with no cork or weight. Just cast in the light and let it sink/drift. We caught so many fish it wasn't right. I paid $62 for an out of state fishing license, best 62 I've ever spent! Threw back a ton of 14inch trout. 15inch minimum on trout, 20inch minimum on reds. I caught 4 redfish between 22-26 inch. Biggest trout was 22inch. We caught over a hundred and fifty fish total.
I had never seen the green underwater lights like that. It was like fishing in an aquarium. So flipping fun. Is this the way the lights are everywhere now? Like I said I don't fish much and seldom from a boat. Had to share. Not sure how to post pics from my phone.

Wow kid, sounds great, did you get to drink a beer?
Any dumbass can catch trout and redfish, let's see photos of all the snook you caught.
Did you go chase any pussy at the Pelican or the Boathouse.
I doubt it, you probably aren't old enough to get in.
GFY

I am kind of curious about these green lights. Where is the power source? Are you fishing by highways and shite?

Sounds like an awesome trip. Put up some photos, and like others said this is probably more suited to the outdoor board.

You shouldn't comment on anything concerning sex, dude. Especially with the BU sig. Guess you're an ex Baylor football player!

Move to OB for more comments
Green lights are becoming popular in lakes similar to false River, lake st Joseph etc.
Haven't seen them in brackish water yet though. It is fun fishing the lights.

Sounds like one hell of a trip!!
You married well!! With in laws that like to fish and a wife that won't give you the third degree for wanting to fish. That's what I call winning.
