No Prob.

Materials cost $125. (included a Hershey bar for the 4 year old).

The entire pen is 8x4. The coop part of it was 4'x30"

How low to the ground does it need to be. And how often do you plan on moving it, daily?

I like this idea.

Very nice. I should've built one like that, but we always had a "chicken yard" when I was growing up. I didn't discover the tractors until after I started building.

I plan on moving it every few days. I'm going to hopefully put two wheels on the back and a little handle on the front or side to make it easy to move. I can slide it around by myself as is though. I'm not sure how low to the ground it has to be. I think dad decided the height just by cutting a standard 2x4 in half. I'm also short (5'2) so the coop had to be low enough for me to reach my hand in. He made me a little stick that fits down in the side and when I need to open it, I open it and stick it in the side like you would do when opening a hood.
Most of the measurements came out of his head. We just got the plywood and drew the pieces out. It's at dads shop, but when I get it here I don't mind taking more pics and measuring for you. Neither of us had built one before and start to finish was 5 hours I think.

No, and the porch we put on was an afterthought. There just happened to be a guy there working on dads lathe who had raised chickens who said we needed one. So we just have that porch right outside the door and there's plenty of room inside.
I'm thinking maybe coke or milk crates for partitions? Any ideas?

I also grew up on a bunch of land but that is hard to find/too expensive these days so I'm very happy with my chicken tractor in my neighborhood sized yard :-)

A minimum of 15? Damn. I only want 4. And I had no idea how many different kinds of chickens there are!?! Holy crap.

I heard some lady off 73 has some. Might ride out there. I want cheap chickens. Who even knows if I can keep them alive or not.

if there's a co-op or farm supply store near you, they usually can order some for you also.

If you want grown ready to lay chickens you will need to find someone local that wants to get rid of some. I would go to the feed stores ask and look for flyers on wall. Check the market bulletin also.

Found some old guy who sold laying hens. One of them lost a tail in a fight on the way here, but the chicken tractor has an engine!

That's cool man. I have a 10x10 dog pen I thought about turning into a coupe. Built my dogs a 30x40 and the old one is not being used. Already feeding 3 dogs and 11 ducks though and it gets expensive. Especially after my ducks lay. I feed the Lil ones a while before I give them away.

I ordered 4 from these folks, and everything has worked out very well. They've been laying for about a month now and I'm averaging 3-4/eggs a day. Do you have any idea what breeds you want? I have a Golden Buff, Barred Rock, Austracorp, and Ameracuana (Good conversation chicken as they lay colored eggs).

I thought about installing a light as well, but it doesn't seem to have hurt my production that I don't have one.
