Camphouse fryer not working (burner)

I have a double burner bayou classic (propane) fryer that barely works. I think there is something stopping it up. I have not used it since last spring and this past weekend and it would not put out enough heat to cook with.
I disconnected the hose with high pressure regulator and hooked it up to a bullet heater and it worked fine so it is not the line or the regulator.
I could not see anything in the burner clogging it up but I guess it could be up inside it. I was thinking dirt dobbers or spiders could have built a nest in it.
I layed it on its side and tried running water from a hose into it then letting it dry and retrying with the same poor results.
Anybody got any ideas or tricks I can try before I buy new burners?

Try hitting it with the air compressor. May be able to flush out whatever you got in there. Maybe try and dig in the jets with a drill bit or something. After that, I would beat it against the concrete until something shook out or it broke.

I have a torch that I light my grill with. Every spring some type of bug will cut new leaves and pack in the gas tube of it. I have to get my air compressor to blow all the leaves and bug out. It usually takes a good amount of pressure to get it out.

I have a nozzle that came with the needle thing to fill footballs etc. I usually just use it without the end piece to blow off stuff. I guess I would stick the needle nozzle into the small holes in the burner and try to blow it back out the end that connects to the hose..
Am I thinking about it right?

As long as it has a lot of volume, it should work. I would start that way. If it doesn't work, try from the other end. Just get stuff moving around in there.

Has the propane been sitting for a year too?
A couple weeks ago I used my propane grill for the first time in a month and could barely get a flame to stay on, even with the burners turned on full blast. I knew the bottle that was hooked up to it was at least half full. After tinkering with it for several minutes I finally tried flipping the bottle upside down a couple times, shaking up the propane in the process. Reconnected and everything was back to normal.
