I have the Raptor and use it as you are intending to. I think it's great, and the adjustable brightness range (11 different brightness levels) covers all light situations you would be shooting in ...

definitely not creosote, but some people might be weary of the other treatments as well. personally i wouldn't worry about CCA bc as long as junior doesn't chew on the pole then he'll be fine...

get a wood utility pole
wood or piping, bury it at least 4'-5' with plenty of sack crete all around it
whatever you get, be weary of what the wood was treated with and how the occupants of the treehouse might interact with it...

usually $12ish but wait til it goes on sale for $5 or $6. So cheap and easy to use and just toss whenever they rust out, although I've found regular lubrication keeps them...

I used my Discover and it worked. Order status says "submitted" on academy.com and I got an "Order Received" email from them...

In your situation, I would agree that you made the right play and got a shotgun to fill your needs. I own a SBE II Classic and would say that you did good by getting a gun on the upper end value-wise from your choices.
