Buying First Shotgun

Looking to buy my first shotgun...went skeet shooting for the first time today, fell in love. I shot a 20 gauge. A bunch of my buddies duck hunt, I want to start joining them as well. Keep in mind I've never been hunting and I've never owned a gun, but I handled myself well shooting today.
Any advice is appreciated. Currently looking at these two because I'd like to get a 12 gauge

I'd go benelli all day.
If you could bump your budget to about $700, the Beretta Outlander are a bargain for a semi.

Beretta is the correct answer.
Your kids will fight over the beretta when you are gone. Not so much for other brands.

You ever heard of a gun called an A5?

Both are great. I'd go with the Benelli, but you can't go wrong either way.

I went on a dove hunt to Argentina a few years ago. Keep in mind that we shot the guns more than a lot of other guns are shot in a lifetime (I shot 3200 rounds)but I saw several Benellis just absolutely destruct. I carried a Browning Gold and it never missed a beat.

For the price the 870 is hard to beat. I love my SX3 though.

Yep - great gun buta few hundred out of price range. The Beretta 300 is in the wheelhouse for him.

He can get the 300 for $650 or so. Give me a better option at that price for the big three Bs.

I'd say $650 is my limit for a first time buy.

Find a good, used automatic. Look for a browning gold, beretta extrema or something along those lines. They won't lose their value.. See what you like, sell for what you paid, buy a new one later if you choose.
I use a beretta extrema 2 with the kick back.. And it always goes boom. Benelli is a fine gun too.. But pricey on the resale market.

Benelli, I've been shooting the SuperNova for years and never had a single problem with it.

I own Benellis, Brownings, and Berettas. All great guns. If your budget is around 650, try to find a good used one of the above. You will have to probably have to get a Beretta as the others hold a higher price(excluding an Extrema). Consider a Beretta a300 outlander, great gun for around 650. Comes with shims and spacers to customize your fit. Fit is the most important thing in shotguns. If you go pump, both your choices are good.
