I first got pictures of the deer early in bow season and have been after him ever since. I sat through many crappy hunts knowing that I was in the right area and it was just a matter of time. We'll, eventually the time on stand paid off. He came in late in a hunt and made it to 17 yards. It was too late, I could barely see him in my peep sight, and I shot right under him. I was beside myself.
So, I got out of there for a while and eventually he showed back up.
Well, I finally got him this weekend. He came in with two other bucks that we've been after and I laid the smack down on him.
Stay persistent and it will pay off. Good luck, fellas.

Man, I wish.
I was local for most of the last year but I'm in North La right now. At least it's somewhat close and I can be at the camp every weekend.

Got him with the pew pew. He would have been a hell of a bow kill and it still eats at me that I had a chance and missed him. But, he's in the freezer now so I can't be too upset about it.

Yeah his 3s are why we called him stairs. Brows, to 2s, and even taller 3s. Kind of a dumb name but we are short on ideas. Lots of good bucks running around this year to give names to.
