Have a 2000 EFI that sat for a year and won't hold RPMs and stay running. We use ethanol free gas always and have even tried running on a tank of fresh gas. Also it's one of two and the other engine is running fine. Brought the boat back from Venice and looking for a mechanic in or around BR. I was given a recommendation for a place in Harvey but hoping to find someone closer. Any help is appreciated!

I've only had to use them once but Cajun Outboards in Addis did good, timely work. Only 15 minutes or so outside BR

He identified an issue with mine that the mercury rep couldn't figure out.

I'll second this. I brought my boat to him twice for major repairs. He had it ready in a reasonable time and he was fairly priced. Much cheaper than Cajun outboards.

If he has intentions of fishing by 2017, cajun is not an option

Thanks for the recommendations. I tried all and none of them can take the boat now due to backlog so I'm taking it to metro boating on Harvey. Anyone use them before?

Spalding at Cajun will take care of you. Call and ask for him and drop off at Cajun repair shop on riverside of la 1 and not the new boat sales side

I took a boat to cajun in 2013. It's supposed to be ready next week.
