You could do that in your driveway if you wanted to bad enough.

Possibly, but that is not going to happen. I always get into something like that and end up not having something I need. This one will be done by my boat guy.

Well if those things don't cost too much it should be quick and cheap for him.

I was thinking something that simple might be found at a home/hardware store.

What's in your picture is a homemade job. C channel and angle iron and a drill press. I don't know if you'll be able to buy something heavy duty enough at a hardware store.

Security is on Masonic right down from busby. McElroy is on Leo off MacArthur accross from academy. What academy has May work if it can support a boat your size

If any part of that would break, it would sent some square tubing right up through my hull.

Meh. They way it was made before probably wasn't much better.

IMO, as long as the hardware doesn't go to hell you'll probably have a new boat and trailer before any of that stuff breaks.

Have your boat guy build you some mounts if you're going to worry about it though. It shouldn't be much work.

Negative.

See what trailer sales place you have local and call them. I think most of them order boat trailers

Cheeks Marine, bruh. They got all that trailer stuff.

Don't go to Pineville Marine. 4-5x the price.

I should have bought a new trailer when I got the boat.

People here often recommend not skimping on a scope when setting up a rifle. Similarly .........

Not saying you skimped on your trailer, but it's usually the most important part of a fishing rig.

HOWEVER, the trouble with buying a new trailer for an old boat & motor is that it almost guarantees that you'll either (a) sling a rod through the engine block or (b) hit a stump and rip the transom out.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
