I have button boots on my boat's power panel. The breakers for the bilge pump and lights are blown ( I can feel some sort of metal protrusion in the button boots). I do not know anything about this, but is there a way that I can reset the breakers for the lights and bilge to operate? Are fuses involved? Any help is appreciated.

Its always the damn electrical. Bypass switches to make sure wiring is ok from that point then u can rewire switches but make sure u r good to the switch first. (Trust me I have been there)

If it's a breaker, then they should reset. Fuses are what blow. I wouldn't think that breakers would be involved on a small pump and lights, they're just working off of 12V. Bound to be fuses.

Just press them to reset breaker (if they are indeed tripped).

Gonna need a pic to answer your question.

Button boots is a cute word though.

It is in all likelihood going to be fuses. If those have blown you just be to replace them. Like someone else said though, you can use a short jumper of wire to get around the blown fuse and make sure that the light or bilge still works.

Thanks, any idea where the fuses might be located? What type of fuses?

In a boat they will usually be under the console. And probably the round glass ones.
