Got one a few months ago and love it! Be sure to season it well, pretty easy to do!

Get the hard cover for it.

To clean it, use a spatula 1st to scrap any bits left on and the griddle and then use wet paper towel (very wet) while the griddle is still very hot. Use your spatula or a scrapper push the paper towel over the entire surface.

After it’s clean put a good coat of oil on it.

I do the same but use a wet sponge instead of paper towel

BS griddle is awesome. Just made smash burgers on mine. Just makes food taste better.

Todd Toven “Make America Griddle Again”. He’s an endorsed cook for BS.

Get some Udon noodles, veggies, chicken and a stir fry sauce and get after it. Simple but delicious and you can feed a crowd easily. Enjoy the griddle. I love mine. Still have a charcoal grill, but my Blackstone is a great addition.

Todd Toven is good and I watch him, hes a BS rep and goes all over the country cooking. He made a "jambalaya" on his griddle. I would have eaten it but Its not a jamabalaya.

Curious to know from whomever purchased a blackstone. Did the blackstone replace your grill? I want a blackstone but I don’t have room for both on my patio.

Was thinking about getting rid of the big grill and just get a small old smokey in the event I do ever want to grill something.

No I still have a charcoal grill cause I like to cook over coals. But the BS gets used
More than the coal grill. Only you can decide if the BS will replace your coal grill.

For me, I no longer have a grill since I didn’t use it for over a year when I really started using the BS. I still have the smoker for anything that need to go low and slow like ribs and Boston butts.

This is a decision you will not regret. You can find videos easy enough but I suggest you just play with it.

No is the short answer.

Use the heck out of the griddle for: stir fry, burgers, cook breakfast on it constantly (even for dinner), philly cheese steaks, etc. use it more than the others.

Have an Acorn for real BBQ/smoking. And a small 2-burner gas grill for when time is more important...really for the wife when i am not home.

What makes you choose the BS over the grill?

Smash burgers are great. Burgers on a gas or coal grill usually plump up in the middle, even with putting a dent in the middle of the patty. Cooks faster and more evenly.

And yeah, I haven’t used my Weber since getting my griddle. Of course I got it at Christmas but I thought I’d find myself grilling again come April or May. It is just faster and easier to clean afterwards.

A griddle burger blows a grilled burger out of the water IMO

Hibachi

Big round hat ro wear, make annoying noises with knife and spatula. But a true hibachi cook needs this.....

So, we should just start doing them on the stove?

You can cook it anyway you want. But I’d prefer an outdoor griddle so the grease splatter isn’t in my kitchen. Nor the smell.
