Best time of year for bass fishing on Toledo Bend?

I'm wanting to set up a bass fishing trip for my dad on Toledo Bend. Am only in Louisiana once or twice a year. Is there a certain time of year that's the best for bass fishing there? Any time of year that's really bad that you would want to avoid? Any fishing guides y'all would recommend on that lake?

Worst = tie between July and August.

March and it's not even close. Suspended big bass is a blast in the spring.

March- April is prime time, but I like the fall also. Late October-early December is pretty good.

Around the first of April is hard to beat. You can catch them a lot of ways and you'll have fish in all three phases. Feb. & March can be jam up, but you can still run into some pretty cold weather that time of year that can shut the bite down.

Now through early April, don't go during the summer unless you like night fishing.
