I currently carry a G19 and just seems big. Looking for a single stack 9. Looked at the G43 but see mixed reviews. Any thoughts? Thanks

was back and forth on the G43 & XDS, ultimately went with the G43 because it lighter. Ended up putting the strike industries emp+2 mag extensions on the mags, the extensions are $11 each from strike industries, waiting on a stealthgear IWB holster to be made. Happy with the G43, my 2 cents for ya.

I am biased and a Walther fan but for single stack the Walter PPS 9 M2 is hard to beat to me and this is what my wife carries. My 2 cents!!

Springfield XD-S
S&W M&P Shield 9mm

Both are great guns, very reliable, and practically the same damn thing

S&W is gonna be less expensive

FWIW I tried a g43 and went back to a 19.

Even with the extension i couldn't comfortably get to the pistol in any other situation except square to the target unopposed. Grip length was just to short.

I didn't try it with the TT +2 but I figured if I was making the grip length as long as a 19, why not just carry the 19.

If you have been carrying a g19 go with a g43. Why change to a different platform if you are comfortable with a Glock.

This.

OP will be much better off adapting to the G19 - he won't shoot the Shield or the G43 as well (rapid, accurate shot placement) as the G19 -- (eta: Unless his name is Miculek ).

You can't suspend the laws of physics.

Though I agree that the Shield is great, but the LC9S is just as good if not better. It's smaller and has a better trigger.
