So an F250 has gotta be down around 12-13, avg.

Tuned differently, but probably. Big tires and go fast pedal did not help either.

Yeah, I just went back and tracked where the reply came from.

It goes from no to go very quickly.

I drove a 2.7, but not the 3.5.

This thread sucks, in terms of answers. ETA: all choices have good points and bad.

It is great info, though.

To AYC: A lot Fords will get sold b/c of that rear cab room. More and more people are using these trucks as the "family" vehicle.

I tow a good amount, and yeah, a lot of city driving. The tune came with a very heavy foot as well.

My wife can keep it close to 20.

Great point. I honestly don't think there is a "bad" choice if you are happy with your truck. It's a great time to be buying trucks.

I'd like to see that chart on a 6.7 diesel.

I feel like the power comes on extremely quickly at WOT or close to WOT. It took me a bit to manage it, and tires better be fresh, with no moisture on the road.

That might be all diesels in a 3/4 ton configuration, IDK.

You may be in for a rude awakening when you ask for your money back, because you aren't getting it back. Vehicle purchases don't work that way.

I bought a truck in good faith that it was in perfect mechanical shape. If they tell me they have to replace a part because it was faulty, I don't want the truck. They can find me another one, or give me my money back.

If it was inside of three days, I think you return it.

A lemon-law deal takes a bit longer, they only get so many opportunities to fix it, I believe.

They got you in a loaner?

Or, you know, fix the broken part?

It will ultimately depend on the issue. If it's minor and can be fixed easily, then sure. If they have to do any significant work, they can trade out with me for another truck.

Back in the '90s I bought a F150 Labor Day weekend.
Temperature in the 90s. I left the dealer in Kenner and went to Laplace for an appointment for work. On the way back to Kenner, my A/C in my brand new truck stopped working, only blew warm air. After driving the new truck 30 miles, brought it back to dealership.

They checked it and found one of the freon hoses ruptured. They checked parts and were out of it and the part was on factory backorder for 4 weeks. I threw a fit and told them to take the truck back.

after going up the chain of command, the shop was given permission to remove the part from another brand new truck and put it on my truck.

I kept the truck until it had 120K miles and never another problem.

Glad that worked out for you. I will have to decide once they tell me what the issue is. I hope it's very minor, perhaps a loose hose clamp or something.
