No doubt Rage leaves a good blood trail, but they are pricey.

Crossbow only. Kind of like a youth hunt.

I would recommend the Judo point during the summer months.

The time of year has no impact on the success rate of the broadhead. The deer might have a little more fat or a little more hair but those 2 things are not stopping a well placed arrow. Only bone really affects the flight and that is the same in the summer and winter.

To answer the question I like:
Fixed - Slick Trick
Mechanical - Grim Reaper

All broadheads are fairly expensive but if you can't invest $30 on good broadheads, bowhunting probably isn't for you.

I like 2 blade Rage, but the broadhead is not near as important as your spotlight. Go no less than 2million candle power and LED is a must.

Yes they are, but it won't touch the cost of running a thermacell and staying hydrated during those all day sits in the middle of July.

A rifle is much better for summer hunting. But of course you can't use a scope.

Q Beam and 270 all you need

I'd stick to night hunting during summer. Keep all those pesky skeeters away. And ive heard snakes dont bite at night so youll be just right.
