Aussie Shepherd - Border Collie Mix

A friend wants to breed her border collie male to my Aussie Shepherd female. I don't think the end result would be that great, appearance wise. It would allow my dog's snake hunting gene to continue.
What do you think? Thank you for any replies.

Seen a few. Good cow dogs. Cows don't care what the dog looks like.

I was wondering if anyone would want the puppies. My dog is a good snaker, the border collie is a good herder.

For some reason all the ones I know of had the shape like a BC and color of the Aussie. And herded anything in sight.

I would love one of those pups if you end up doing this

My dog is probably 3-5 months away from going into heat again. I'm giving it serious thought, as I was just about ready to go get her spayed. The male border collie is a very smart dog named Gus with good herding instincts. My dog does seem to want to herd, but she does seem to want to protect her "herd." Whatever area she is in, she wants to clear it out of anything she views as hostile. She is also very quick, which is why she is proficient at killing poisonous snakes without getting bitten.
