Shot one hen woodie at the Livingston/Ascension parish border at about 6:05 am. Ain’t seen a bird since.

Ouch. I know that cost him a lot of money.

Was able to make a trip with my buddy. I have had some quick hunts before but this was silly. We had 11 greys and a widgeon before 6:10.

Don’t think we will have many more like that this year.

Should have had a 6 man limit by 8. Couple of new guys, wife's family so I can't kill them, kept standing up, staring at working birds and waving their guns around flaring birds. They will learn but I said a lot of bad things under my breath today.
