or know someone that owns one?
Any thoughts on this thing? How does it compare to other grills relative to gas or charcoal?
Thanks in advance!
(Not sure if this needs to be on the food & drink board so my apologies if so.)

I don't remember what model mine is, but it's been great. Pellets can get pricey. I've online tried the traeger brand so far.

I own the pro series 22.
Love it! I use it as a smoker though and not my every day grill. I still use my gas grill for steaks and rotisserie chicken.

I have the medium size treager and I love it. You can't beat it for any medium length cooks. Meaning ribs, brisket, Boston butt or etc. However it's not good for steaks. It's not a direct heat grill. It is truly a set it and forget it grill. Unless it's freezing outside or super windy it barely uses any pellets. If you compare the cook times between charcoal and pellets I bet you get more for you $ with pellets.

Used one for the first time in Kansas a couple of weeks ago. Super easy! Cooked sausage, boudin, burgers, dove poppers, and even redfish on the half shell. I really want one now.

I don't own the Traeger but do have a pellet grill, they are the bomb. I would suggest you consider one with the direct grilling option though.
truly set and forget smoking is wonderful, thought I would miss my stick burner but it just lives at the camp now.

I have the Memphis and wouldn't trade it for anything. Has direct flame option as well. I cook on it 3-4 days per week. I believe that with the trager brand you have to use their pellets are the warranty gets voided

Not sure, I went with the Yoder and it seems to burn them all about the same. I seem to use BBQers delight mostly due to avalability.
