Traxxas came out with the 3.3's a year after I got my Revo...

What I like about Traxxas is their engine swap out program. I could send in my 2.5 and pay a little extra and get the 3.3 but from what I'm reading, the 3.3's make the shorter chassis Revos very hard to control, much less keep the front end on the ground. The 3.3 Revo's chassis is 30mm longer than the 2.5 I think.

Dude, my first r/c radio was AM. Nothing embarrassing about a digital radio.

I remember your "extra money to spend thread" or something like that. I'm getting into heli's myself. I fly fixed pitch no problem. Looking to go
Collective but trying to hide a $500 radio from the Mrs.!

The Eflight blade MCPX that was recommended to me has been great. I crash the shite out of the little thing and it takes it. Gyro head hold and flybarless. Can't beat the little thing.

I'm flying the SR120 now and having a blast. I want the new 130 but need to upgrade my radio before I move to collective pitch.

We have 3 HPI Savage monster trucks. I love the exhaust fumes....but I digress. Lots of fun and learned how to replace diffs, tune the rascals, replace clutch bell, and make them fly. - almost.

What do you have again? I have a nitro car but I lost all of my running gear during Katrina. The car was hanging on the wall and that's literally all I have except for an IR temperature gauge.

I need a remote, a starter, glow plug battery thing, fuel bottles...Not sure what my servos and receiver are compatible with though.

This is what I have:

Fan cooled four stroke...

I had a Pegasus 25 years ago. It was awesome. Andy's Hobby Towne. I buy a slot track every few years to play with for a week...then I throw it away.

That's a 4 stroke airplane engine mounted in there, so it needs help being cooled. The car is Kyoshso SuperTen and it came that way. Old school and super fun to drive. Thing idles in a purr. Badass clutch, two speed transmission, differentials on each end, disk brake on the center shaft...The chassis didn't even come with a lexan top.

I believe there is a track somewhere around Walker. A buddy of mine races competitively and, I believe that's where he goes to practice.

Traxxas Revo 2.5R with OS .18 motor installed.

Let me see if I can find the ebay as that I put up a while back but it never made it to reserve so I still have it.

My first RC car was Tamiya "The Fox" in the mid eighties. Man that thing was fast for the time. Saw a kid last summer with a RC car at the marina and it blew my mind our fast it was.

My first was "The Hornet", then I upgraded to "The Grasshopper". Good times.
