I’ve got the Finnlite with the same problem. Talked with Sako and Beretta and they refuse to do anything about. I would like to replace the rubber stock with on of their carbon composite stocks if they gave some kind of trade in but they won’t

Short term fix: try giving it a dusting of corn starch powder or talcum powder. It wont fix the problem but will make it a lot less sticky to the touch.

Fixed! Bell and Carlson was a perfect fit. There was probably a cheaper fix but this worked great just think it’s BS that I had to spend $350 to fix a known problem.

I don't understand stock prices, especially for basic fiberglass. You can buy a decent Savage Axis for $350. I'm toying with replacing a Tikka Lite stock because it just feels cheap, but it's still functional. I think I paid $700 for the rifle and I'm having a hard time justifying $300-$400 simply to make the gun feel a bit more solid.

I’ve called and complained to Beretta several times without luck. Look at SAKO forums and it’s crazy how many of these trash stocks are out there . Nothing.

A couple of years ago I was debating rattle can painting my daughters pink savage because she had “outgrown that color dad.
While doing some googling I found numerous threads of people who had the same problems and stripped them down sanded them and then painted and ended up with some real good looking final products.
Options can then be stone texture paint, or sponge patterns followed with matte clear coat.

Got an A7 I never use sitting in the safe, when I went to move it this morning to grab a different gun in the safe and it grabbed me back. I’m going to try and strip it then repaint it before I spend $350 on a new stock.
Definitely feel like an idiot now, I didn’t like using it because it would get scratched up in the cutover, and now I’m about to take scotch brite to it.

Way ahead of you on that. Tried dawn power wash, rubbing alcohol, and brake cleaner, in that and then reverse order before I posted, it got worse and just smeared, it’s gonna need to come apart.

I roughed up most of it with bar keepers friend, used a magic eraser, brake cleaner, degreaser with a firm bristled brush, not much progress, tried small pressure washer (the 600psi battery one my wife uses for getting the dirt stains out of my kids white baseball pants) and it did a fair job getting the loosened stuff off.
Went back with rubbing alcohol and a gift card and actually started making some head way. So I put it in a vacuum sealer bag to try and let the alcohol do some work before it evaporates, and going to bring it to the car wash and see what happens.

I basically got ignored when I contacted them about it.
Thus bump reminded me I had the red arse. I just filed a complaint with the BBB. Not sure if anything will come of it, if it does I'll report back.
BBB doesn't have any real power, but I have used them once in the past and got resolution where I couldn't dealing directly with the company. So, who knows. Pretty shitty of them, I hope they make it right.
