the first was bourg saying "who fishes the most"
and had IM in the subject. It stayed on topic for the most part for a page or so it got axed. cadello started a why was the fish thread deleted. within 2 posts it was deleted. I started a thread that said "fricking really" with frick in the subject. deleted quickly. Bourgs started a thread with title "why was my thread deleted" with oops i meant to post this on the HB, and then he started the exact same "who fishes the most thread" and about a page or so both were gone

I accidentally shot one while bowfishing once. I saw a "gar" roll beside me out of the corner of my eye and turned and shot where its tail was disappearing. Shot him right through the base of his spoon. I dumped him off as fast as possible because I knew it was illegal. I think he was fine though. The spoon just seems to be cartilage.

Yes they are not very good. We used to catch them all the time snagging at the Columbia Locks and Dams. Back then you could keep them if you wanted.
