You have way too many interests (hunting, fishing, diving, etc.) and you just don't have the budget to contribute to all? Some people can dedicate themselves to one specific thing and that's where all of their time and energy goes. Not this guy. I have to budget between way too many hobbies.

We all have that problem! You just have to pick and chose.

I chose to spend most of my bank account on spearfishing though

Me. Way too much shite I like doing. I finally decided that Deer Hunting is my #1 and Bass Fishing is my #2. I squirrel and rabbit hunt when I can and take a few saltwater trips here and there.

In the last few years I've given up golf, paintball, LSU Basketball games, and I only go to about 1/2 the home football games.

Are you married? Kids?

If not, just wait until you are married with kids. Budgeting your money will be the least of your concern. Time will be the precious commodity then.

This for me. I finally am able to make enough money to support my outdoor habits, but time is an issue for me now. I love to deer hunt, rabbit hunt, fish and golf. But time at work and with the family keeps me from doing it as much as I want. I can golf during the week with vendors, so that's cool. All that being said, I love time with my family.

Barter, trade, buy used gear when you can. It doesn't all have to be expensive. Some things, if you only do it a couple times a year you can rent or borrow.

My wife and I just had baby #3, so we had to upgrade from a car that was paid off to a minivan, so now that we have a car payment it looks like I will not be able to spend any money on a deer lease next year, life is a bitch man. I remember in college I could afford to fish, duck hunt, deer hunt, and pretty much do what I wanted. Now that I have graduated with an engineering degree and found a job and got married and had a couple of kids I can hardly afford to buy myself a 12 pack on the weekends.

Wife and 2 kids talk most of my time.

I have too many hobbies but refuse to give them up. Hunting, fishing, wood working, golf, etc.

Golf is the one that gets hit the most though. I'm only able to play 7-8 times a year. And I used to be a damn good player.

That's my problem, I don't have the time for all of my hobbies. My golf clubs haven't been used in a year.

I guarantee you that you will wish for all that free time you had back in the days you were a grad student when you are married with kids.

My problem is finding the time to pursue them all.

My golf clubs have been sitting in my barn collecting dust. I put a garbage bag over them to half arse keep them clean. I need to sell them, I got over $1k invested in them.

I keep thinking I'll start back up, but I probably want. I think I'll be having kids before too long.

I can find a way to fund my hobbies, I just don't have time. Especially now with 2 kids. I used to could play golf and fish all summer. Now I can only do one or the other. Mostly golf.
