The more I play with the new sig cans the more they grow on me. The griffin armament m4sd is high on my list now. Nice not having to buy adapters and just being able to mount to an a2 style bird cage.

Can someone fill me in as to what the penalty is for not having a tax stamp and possessing an SBR? I know someone who is doing this and I am trying to tell them what a stupid thing it is to do.

in the real world there is a minuscule chance of being caught

I have an Uncle that owned a restaurant that was caught with some Class III weapons (full auto). Needless to say he no longer owns the business, and can not purchase any firearms period. The dumb part is that he could probably afford to go buy a legal full auto rifle.

I think the penalty can be as high as 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

well, thats one way to get caught, but i can tell you i have never once been asked to show my tax stamp for my SBR UZI...not ever. i'm certainly not advocating your friend break the law, but in reality unless his house is raided for some other reason, neither he nor you nor i are in any meaningful danger of being checked by the ATF. there is no alarm that sounds at the ATF office when somebody purchases a 10.5" barrel
