It is time for another woodcock opener. I am hearing good reports so hopefully, we have a good season. Here are some pictures of years gone by, many of these dogs have passed on and new dogs have taken their place...

I was in the MS delta most of last week and saw a number of woodcock twisting around in some swampy areas...

The reports I have been provided indicate that there was a pretty large push of birds a couple of weeks ago. Crossing my fingers that little wick can get some birds tomorrow.

Perhaps later this season. I finally got concrete poured at the camp today. Damn weather has been messing me up...

I shot a box of shells one time in a cut over at those and never knocked a feather off of one.

I guess they were roosting, they would come in high then dive bomb down in the trees
